Tamir Yardenne

Tamir Yardenne is an award-winning actor, writer, and director based in Hollywood, California. A graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Tamir began his professional career after being invited to join the prestigious Negro Ensemble Company, where he performed in several Off-Off-Broadway productions. Shortly after graduation, he left the Bronx to tour internationally with the national production of Jean-Paul Sartre's No Exit, performing in London.

Now based in Los Angeles, Tamir has built a diverse career across film, television, and theater. His television credits include Hawthorne, where he appeared opposite Jada Pinkett Smith as Vernon, as well as guest-starring roles on Dexter, NYPD Blue, The Young and the Restless, The Pretender, Ghost Stories, That's Life, Guiding Light, New York Undercover, and All My Children.

Tamir is the creator, writer, producer, director, and star of the award-winning comedy web series Adversity, which earned multiple honors, including Best Actor, Best Director (TV Pilot), and Best Web Series. In 2007, he founded Tamirfilms Ltd., launching the company's first production, Silencio, which premiered to critical acclaim at the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles.

As a filmmaker, Tamir recently completed production on an independent feature film that he wrote and directed. He also wrote the award-winning short film You'll Be Okay, continuing his commitment to creating compelling stories that blend humor, heart, and social insight.

In 2026, Tamir's world premiere stage play, The Young and the Rest of Us, opened to critical acclaim at The Group Rep Theatre in North Hollywood. The satirical dark comedy — a murder mystery set behind the scenes of a daytime soap opera — showcases his distinctive voice: bold, witty, and deeply human.

Tamir can also be seen as George in the feature film Miss Stevens, starring Timothée Chalamet and Lily Rabe.
