Tamir Yardenne

About Tamir Yardenne - Professional Actor

Tamir Yardenne is an actor and playwright whose career spans stage, television, and independent film. A scholarship recipient to the Chautauqua Institution at sixteen, Tamir later earned a scholarship to attend New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he studied both acting and writing—training that shaped his dynamic presence on stage and screen.

As an actor, Tamir's many TV and film credits include: Jada Pinkett Smith on the television drama Hawthorne, and has guest-starred on acclaimed series including Dexter, NYPD Blue, The Young and the Restless, All My Children, and New York Undercover. He appeared in the feature film Miss Stevens alongside Timothée Chalamet and Lily Rabe.

A former member of the Negro Ensemble Company, Tamir performed in multiple Off-Off-Broadway productions and toured London in No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre.

Parallel to his acting career, Tamir has built a strong body of work as a writer and creator. He is the creator, writer, producer, and star of the award-winning comedy web series Adversity, starring Enrico Colantoni. The project received Best Actor and Best Director (TV Pilot) at the NYC TV Film Festival. His pilot screenplay Bye Felicia advanced to the second round of consideration for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab. He also completed the Tisch West Feature Film Certificate Program under the mentorship of Will Rokos (Monster’s Ball).

In 2007, Tamir founded Tamirfilms Ltd., producing original content including Silencio, which premiered at the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Now based in Los Angeles, Tamir continues to develop bold, character-driven work for stage and screen—stories fueled by ambition, secrets, humor, and the complicated humanity that lives beneath the spotlight.
